As I write this comment, I find myself starting at a photograph I took of a painting that caught my eye at one of the art shows held regularly on the beautiful Sonoma Plaza. I reproduce that photo here ( please forgive the tree shadow falling across it ) because, alas, at this writing the artist website is misbehaving, and won't permit me to borrow her own photograph of this stunning piece of work.

Dee Andreini paints what I would call fantasy art, themes of imaginary worlds, fairies, landscapes and panoramas filled with brilliant pastel colors that shine through mists that swirl across her canvas. Dee might disagree with this characterization, for her gallery also contains a fair number of realizations of cottages and landscapes from her trips to the British Isles. Whatever the label, Dee Andreini is an artist whose work I admire, and I heartily recommend a visit to her website. You will enjoy feel the beauty of her work, the peace that radiates from it.
